LED Lighting Applications

LED lighting has a wide range which can be deployed into a wide range of applications. LED lights can be used both for general purpose and task lighting . It is also well used in those areas where a specific colour is required and in such a case, LED of that specific colour is used which do not require any colour filter. As the colour filter also absorbs light so by using LED more light output is achieved. LED lamps have a long lifespan than any other lighting, which not only saves replacement cost but also maintenance cost. LEDs require very less space in a fixture and that’s why they are easy to use with stylish and up to the state of art lighting fixtures. The smaller size of LED gives more control over the illumination distribution.

To achieve different colours of light varying from place to place different colours of LEDs can be placed to gather in an array and electronically controlled driver which controls the colour of lighting according to your mood.

LED lights can be used in offices which increases your productivity. LED lights provide high light output at low wattage. LED light gives specific Lux required for the office working. As low Lux levels decrease the productivity in any office. LED’s lighting is very eco-friendly , does not produce much heat and has low carbon emissions. LED lighting is widely used in architectural lighting where factors like high levels of brightness , high Colour rendering index. LED Down lights and Panel Lights are mostly used in offices and homes. According to an analysis more than 500 million LED Downlights are installed in the United States and more that 200 million LED Downlights are sold every year.

LED lights are also used in cold storage lighting as they can be operated in a wide range of temperature . LED cold storage lights can operate in -35C temperatures. Furthermore, in high temperature areas experts have designed LED lighting solutions which can perform in that environment.

Due to their high colour rendering index LED lights are also used in retail stores due to the fact that LEDs CRI increase the object colours which in turn attracts customers. High brightness of LED lights makes it more usable in outdoor lighting as road lighting, outdoor landscape lighting, airport lighting, factory area lighting as well as indoor warehouse lighting, Retail store lighting , hotel/restaurant lighting, food processing plant and those areas where security cannot be compromised.
